Advantages

1. They can be transported easily through pipelines.
2. They can be ignited easily.
3. They have higher heat content
4. They burn without any solid residue.
5. They can be preheated using exhaust gases.

Disadvantages

1. They require special storage tanks
2. They are highly inflammation and hence there is a greater risk of fire accidents.
